At Lea Street Press, LLC, our objective is to help talented, aspiring authors reach their goal of publication. Though we do occasionally accept submissions, our primary path to publication for most clients is through self-publishing.

Under our self-publishing guidance, we will walk you step-by-step to efficiently navigate the complexities of modern-day publishing. When you publish your book, YOU are the publisher of record. We will not sell your book directly, but we will provide you with an author page and links to where your book may be bought. Simply put, we provide you with packaging services (formatting your cover and interior files for print and e-book), publishing services (submitting completed files to printer/distributor), and marketing advice. Other than the above mentioned, we do not actively market your book. However, when available, we will assist in any way we can.

So, what now? If you are interested in working with Lea Street Press, LLC, here’s what we can help you do:

* Advise of publication options — including size of book, layout, etc.


* Format the cover, spine, and interior of your book (with your input)


* Obtain your ISBN number (your expense). Keep in mind, each format requires a separate number.


* Register your book with Bowker’s Books in Print


* Suggest keywords, BISAC codes for booksellers


* Obtain your Library of Congress Control Number (this number is at no cost)


* Help you set up and create accounts with our suggested distributors, Ingram Spark and Amazon (including all tax forms)


* Format your book with the proper specifications from IS and Amazon.com and upload the files for print and/or e-book


* Become a Goodreads author at goodreads.com


* Set up your Amazon.com author profile page
